A day of walking and activities in ‘England’s Rainforest’ upriver near Southend. Includes a wellbeing walk and storytelling as well as a bug hunt and craft session making mandalas with Bug Life.

Green Grays

Thurrock Local History Society members will guide T100 walkers on a tour of the former and current green spaces in Grays.
Go Wild in Belhus

10am – 2pm, Belhus Park Leisure Centre
Join us as we explore this fantastic Thurrock site packed full of flora, fauna and wildlife. Walkers can choose to join for a shorter or a longer walk.
Thurrock Pride Walk
Saturday 8 June 2024
9.30am – 1pm, two starting points
In collaboration with the wider Thurrock’s first Pride event, being overseen by Thurrock LGBTQ+ Community Network and Arts Outburst, the walk from Purfleet-on-Thames Train Station will head along the Thames past Thurrock’s graffiti wall.
T100 Goes Wild in Hackney!

10.30am – 1pm, Hackney Downs Park Pavillion
A walk along the Hackney Buzzline, an ecological pollinator corridor being created in East London. The walk goes through four parks – all local sites of importance for nature conservation – and three social housing estates.
Summer Sketch Tour with J D Swann
Sunday 16 June 2024
1 – 4pm, Rainham Visitor Centre
A creative walk-through of RSPB Rainham Marshes with ornithological investigator J D Swann. The group will map the reserve through drawing and observation, binoculars and cameras are encouraged to help bring wildlife closer.
