The plastic is already being gathered to make the beautiful Grays mandala in July! Huge well done to the volunteers of the Grays Beachcombers this month – look at this massive haul of plastic collected from Grays Beach!
28 people collected 50 bags, which included 247 bottles and 2 bags of other plastic gems we’ll use to create the T100 Grays mandala. Thank you to everyone who took part and to Steve Catchpole who organises this and similar local groups to clean up the river.
Get involved! If you want to take part in Grays, the next one is:
Sunday 5th April 10:30 to 12:00 followed by free refreshments in the café.
Meet at Grays Yacht Club RM17 6JF
Grays Beachcombers is a monthly Thames21 River Action Group family friendly event suitable for accompanied children 6 years and older. On this occasion it forms part of the Great British Spring Clean.
