We’re looking for walking volunteers in each area to lead the walks, to be a backmarker or to lend support in other ways. We also need volunteer marshals at designated points in each area to offer encouragement and support, ensuring walkers stay on the specified route.
Each walk is about ten miles long, but people are not expected to walk the whole of this distance and there are a number of opportunities available for volunteers to cover a variety of different locations, stretches and times of the walks.
If you would like to share your love of walking and become a Thurrock 100 volunteer please call 01375 389853 or email us.
Training will be provided by walking4health during the first week in June.
