WALKING

Thurrock 100 2015 came to an end on Saturday 18 July.  The tenth walk took in much of Grays and Blackshots, before heading out across the fields to Baker Street for lunch at the Kings Arms and then returning to Grays via Hangman’s Woods.  We stopped briefly in Grays Town Park, where we were met by the other 9 flags and around 100 people from all over Thurrock who had come to walk the final mile with us.  The Thurrock Marching Band, accompanied us as we processed through the town centre and down to Grays Beach, where the new Village Beach festival was in full swing.  The festival, produced by Metal, was a great success.  All 10 flags were welcomed onto the stage to cheers from the assembled crowd.  A fitting end to this year’s Thurrock 100!
