Kinetika prepares for fifth T100 walking festival with invitation to meet local chefs

Get to Know Event
Weds 29 May  7-10pm
Venue: Thameside Theatre, Thameside Two, Orsett Road, Grays, Essex Rm17 5DX

Kinetika’s popular T100 walking festival is back in July and its theme is Welcome to the Kitchen Table.

As part of that welcome, Kinetika is teaming up with the Thurrock International Celebration (TIC) to invite people to meet local chefs at a Get to Know event on Wednesday 29th May.

Get to know the story behind some of Gray’s top chefs at this informal evening of discussion and food. Over shared conversation and recipes, chefs Stoyen Giorgiev from Bulgaria who runs the Thameside cafe, Alex Elizabeth Ingona from Lizzy’s Kitchen, who cooks Nigerian food and Nepalese chef Kamala Gurung will explain their ingredients and ways of cooking. Each chef will offer tasters of their food, on a first come, first served basis.

Ali Pretty, Kinetika’s Artistic Director, will talk about the T100 walking festival and how it has developed over the last five years, and lead a practical drawing workshop to design a tablecloth for Thurrock, alongside Kinetika artists.

Get to Know – Welcome to the Kitchen Table is free and open to all. No need to book. The event takes place in Thameside 2 at the Thameside Theatre in Grays.
