A beautiful rural walk through Thurrock following the old trade route along the Mardyke waterway, with an opportunity to see the Victorian pumping station and viaduct and across the site of the old Ardale approved school at Stifford. A suggested lunch stop would be at the Kings Arms in Orsett.
