WALKING

A leisurely walk around the lovely village of Horndon-on-the-Hill. The route starts at the medieval half-timbered Woolmarket, before passing the remains of the Windmill, the historic church and pass a house once occupied by both Phil Vincent, founder of Vincent motorcycles, and 1950s keep-fit Queen Eileen Fowler. You continue to Saffron Gardens, where Elizabeth I once stayed, before ending at the Bell Inn.
