WALKING

Tilbury

Pride: Port, Dock and Operation Workers

25th June 2022

Starts: Anchor Field, Tilbury

Ends: Tilbury Cruise Terminal

Booking for this walk is now closed but you can follow the route on your own.

A Piece of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant Parade came to Tilbury! A section of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant called The Thank You Dance, by artistic directors and producers Ali Pretty from Kinetika and Jeanefer Jean-Charles MBE from Jeanefer Jean-Charles & Associates came to Tilbury for the T100 festival finale and Port Open Day.

The Thank You Dance was a visually arresting spectacle made up of over 200 performers drawn from across generations from Thurrock, London and Milton Keynes, covered in hand-painted silks, and holding vibrant flags designed and made by community groups from Tilbury, Grays, Purfleet-on-Thames and Milton Keynes.

The Thank You Dance was a Thank You to the Queen for 70-years of public service and a Thank You to our key workers and all those who selflessly contribute to society, looking after our communities and laying the foundation for a better life for generations to come.
