intu Lakeside to Purfleet-on-Thames walk along the Mardyke Way

2nd June 2022

Starts: intu Lakeside
Ends: Purfleet-on-Thames

Booking for this walk is now closed but you can follow the route on your own.

We kicked off this Purfleet-on-Thames community celebration with a Town Crier, performers and the Purfleet-on Thames flag collection at intu Lakeside. This was followed by a nature-filled walk along the Mardyke Way as we headed for the Purfleet – on – Thames Beacon lighting festivities.

The lighting of the Purfleet-on-Thames Beacon was part of a national event to mark The Queen’s Jubilee year where the community was invited to enjoy performances, workshops, craft activities and stalls.
