WALKING

We’re looking for creative people from all over Thurrock to help design and make ten 4m high silk flags at a series of workshops in June.  You don’t need to have previous experience of batik and you don’t need to be a professional artist, but if you enjoy creative activities we’d love you to get involved.  We’ll provide the training and all materials.

Ten Thurrock residents came together in April to make the Thurrock 100 flag featured here. Bev Johnston from Bulphan said: “What a great experience! I was nervous at the beginning because I’ve never done anything on this scale before, but it was great to meet the other ladies, and really lovely to see our finished flag.  I didn’t expect such a ‘wow!’ moment!  I’d encourage everyone to join in!”
