T100 is made possible by the commitment and enthusiasm of our dedicated volunteers and friends. Their passion for the local area and the communities that bring them to life is what inspires others to participate in the festival year on year. We have been on a wonderful journey of rediscovery.
This is what being part of it means to us.

T100 is an annual walking, talking and making festival.
What began as a 100-mile marathon across the borough, has developed into an outdoor arts festival that starts and ends in Thurrock and stretches along and across the estuary, into Southend and over to Kent.
Leading up to the festival, activities are undertaken in libraries, schools and community spaces. They have included writing, drawing, cooking, painting, researching, dancing and acting. The results add colour to the walks which have incorporated heritage talks, shared community meals, outdoor theatre, silk flags reflecting local stories, singing and even the making and performing of an animated 12-foot-tall Tilbury Docker puppet designed by local high school students.
Want to get involved? Please fill in your details to find out more about volunteering with us. You could lead or steward a walk, host a specific event or share your skills with the community. We’re always looking for new people to learn from and areas to build on so please do get in contact!
