Seeing Thurrock Differently:
A Journey Home

22 May – 7 June 2026

Young Ambassadors during Our River, T100's 11th Annual Festival in 2025

After 12 extraordinary years of exploring, talking, and making together – and three recent years supported by the Reaching Communities Fund – we’re excited to share that 2026 will mark a milestone moment for T100: a journey home. We will be celebrating everything we’ve created together and imagining how the programme can evolve beyond its current form.

This special edition will be our most ambitious yet – a joyful, imaginative celebration of the landscapes, stories, and communities that have shaped T100, and a heartfelt invitation to reflect on what it truly means to belong, to return, and to call a place home.

In the lead-up, our monthly walks will continue, guiding us step by step towards the festival. Along the way, we’ll share stories, spark conversations, and invite you to help shape the festival and beyond.

Guided by curiosity, creativity, and a shared spirit of adventure, artists, scientists, historians, local voices, and Thurrock’s next generation will come together to explore who we are, where we’ve come from, and imagine new futures. We’ll walk, talk, and create – discovering new perspectives along the way.

Together, we’ve shown what can grow when creativity and community meet. 2026 is a journey home – a celebration of all we’ve built together, and the beginning of a new chapter still to be written.

Join us as we see Thurrock differently – together – and imagine what might be next.

A hands-on creative workshop hosted with the T100 community to explore the 2026 theme.

Would you like to get involved?

Are there activities you’d like to lead in your community as part of the 2026 programme? Or are you working with a group you’d like us to connect with as we plan for next year?

As we begin shaping the 2026 festival, we’d love you to join us for our next Community Programming Meeting:

 Monday 10 November, 4.30–6pm
at High House Production Park, Purfleet (RM19 1AS)
