WALKING

This circular walk visits Hangmans Wood, a site of Special Scientific Interest because of the presence of a number of deneholes: underground hollows that are now home to colonies of bats. The route also travels through rural countryside, skirting Chadwell St Mary and past the remains of the mill at Orsett and the existing windmill at Baker Street.
