Lakeside 25 years
Lakeside is a very big shop.
It used to be our old, gigantic, enormous, humongous, colossal cement factory. There were rocky cliffs, that looked like alien landscapes. There were lorries, and diggers, and trains. And monsters from Doctor Who. Do you remember when there was no Lakeside? Where did you go instead?
All around Lakeside, are other old quarries. They are full of animals and plants. Bats, glowworms and newts. I wonder if they ever come into Lakeside? The glowworms would be amazed at the Christmas lights.
We went to Lakeside for my sister's birthday on Monday. She was eight. We had an ice cream sundae outside a shop, looking at people passing by. We made up a handclap. Lakeside is 25 years old. That is very old.
I want to keep Lakeside because when I grow up I will still be shopping in Lakeside. I will show my relatives, and tell them about it.
