A Day at Grays Beach
First there was just grass. Then they dug a hole. Then they filled it with water. Then they added sand. And a playground.
I love to pretend to be a princess of Grays Beach, and I love to run in the sand. People are eating ice cream, and it smells like the glimmering water of the river splashing the shore.
I play in the swimming pool until the Exmouth boys need it for training. You can feel sticky mud at the bottom if you put your feet down, so I don't.
I can hear the sound of laughter from adults having picnics on the ground. Us children play in the soft silky sand. I see people selling chocolate and Grays rock. I taste my luxurious ice cream and feel the wind blowing through my hair.
I'm having great fun. I wish I could stay here forever.
