Prisoners of War
Small tents in rows...fires burning...prisoners doing their daily jobs...water splashing...on my way to work.
Today, I wake up remembering that I'm now a prisoner. My draughty tent stands in its' row. Other prisoners like me are meandering around our camp.
In the distance I can see one of the factories that we have to work in.
I am on my way to have breakfast now. Thoughts of my family are stuck in my head. Are they all right? For breakfast we have one boiled egg and a piece of dried, mank bread. I just wish I was home!
Suddenly a guard grabs me by my ruined vest. He drags me across the cracked earth. I try to fight back, but it is useless - the guard is too strong. He lets go of me as soon as we enter the factory.
I hate my job. I have to provide them with what they need to fight and hurt my family back home. Some of the other prisoners work on a farm. That would be better, out in the open air digging food.
People are nicer to them too.
