'Twas the night before the Armada
It's the night before the Armada, and I'm going to give my speech tomorrow. Come on, Elizabeth, deep breaths, think of what to say...
"Soldiers, I want you to try. You have to stop the evil Spanish."
No, that's not good enough. Bit generic, bit racist.
"Right. Let's go soldiers, we are going to fight the Spanish army because if we don't they will kill you and everybody else."
Well that's honest I suppose. But we really need some hope too. We need something inspiring, something memorable.
"Don't just fight for me! Fight for yourselves, your loved ones, your houses in your country. We will win this fight because we have bravery!"
Hm, we've got more than that. But what?
"We don't have loads of people, but we have something that they don't have. We have muscles, yes, but also we have a girl on the team and that is me. So we can win only if we stick together."
Something like that, yes. I'm sure it'll come out right tomorrow when I'm actually in front of everybody. Now, I must get something to eat or I'll get feeble. Sometimes I think I have the stomach of a king.
